ABOUT THE OWN YOUR OWN ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT:

#OYOSUMMIT #OYOSUMMIT16

The Own Your Own Entrepreneurship Summit was developed by Melva Robertson, owner of The Write Media Group, LLC, Public Relations Firm, as a platform and resource to assist aspiring and emerging business owners across all industries with vital business principles necessary to achieve growth, success, and sustainability.

The Fall 2016 summit focuses on building and maintaining black-owned business. Robertson has united with fellow entrepreneurs to provide solutions to a major barrier in the economic growth of the black community that is building and supporting black businesses. With the heightened attention to racial inequalities for people of color in the United States and the large push for the black community to support more black-owned businesses, now more than ever is the time to train and educate our entrepreneurs with the vital tools to remain competitive and achieve business success.

Attendees will learn from veteran experts covering a variety of business sectors that include tax preparation and bookkeeping, long and short term goal setting, branding, customer growth, generating and sustaining wealth, social media management, business banking and real estate. The half-day workshop concludes with a combined panel dialogue to discuss how to collectively overcome barriers that plague black businesses such as funding, customer service, professionalism and resource allocation.

Part one of the summit includes trainings and workshops on the aforementioned business basics while part two consists of a Shark Tank-style pitching simulation session led by a distinguished panel of black Atlanta business owners and experts.

Entrepreneurs leave with tangible and useful information along with contacts and resources to help catapult their businesses to the next level.
